The departments that will be present at the Hangberg Multipurpose Centre in Hout Bay are:

• Human Resources for enquiries about bursaries, internships and apprenticeships

• Disaster Risk Management to get you more prepared for winter

• Finance for all enquiries about municipal accounts and to apply for Indigent Support

• Customer Relations to assist you to log and follow up on service related requests

• Safety and Security for information about traffic and law enforcement services

• Water & Sanitation, Electricity and Solid Waste to assist you with general enquiries

• EPWP and jobseekers to give unemployed youth an opportunity to register - or update their details on the jobseekers database.

For Langa, the City’s Customer Relations Department’s mobile team will assist residents with logging queries and service requests electronically. Customers can engage with the City in a wide range of non-emergency enquiries such as rates, sewage, electricity, water, refuse collections, and all other account enquiries. To date, the mobile office team has been very effective in resolving long outstanding queries for residents.

‘Taking City’s services to the communities of Hangberg and Langa is the City’s way of showing that we are committed to bringing services to residents and making local government more accessible to all. Those who will be visiting us at these venues on the two specified days must please remember to bring along their ID or municipal accounts to help ease the process,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
